Obituary

Phyllis Gay Raynes 78 of Sissonville entered into paradise December 29, 2013 after a short illness. Phyllis was a former employee of Big Star (now Sissonville Foodland), and FMC Corporation. She was a member of Calvary Church of the Nazarene, Charleston and United Food Workers Union. Preceding her in death were her parents Melton Douglas and Icie Mae Westfall Pritt; husband Paul Ray Raynes; several Brothers and Sisters. Survivors include her son, Donovan Farley and wife Susan of Scott Depot; daughter, Tammy Bowen and husband Timothy of Elkview. Grandchildren, Elizabeth Durham and husband George, Jessica Dorsey, Tristan Bowen, Taylor and Faith Farley, and her faithful wienee dog Muffin. She was especially proud and loved her Great Grandson Blake Timothy Durham. She will be sadly missed by many Nieces and Nephews; Good Friends and Special Caregivers Debbie Painter and Rhonda Fisher. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday January 3, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Raynes and Pastor Edison Hager officiating. Burial will follow in Pritt Cemetery, Sissonville. The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff in the ER and Neurological 4th floor south at CAMC General Division for all their care and professionalism. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday January 2, 2014 at the Funeral Home.
