Peggy F. Johnson, 82, of Charleston, WV, stepped into the gates of heaven on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. She was born on October 3, 1942, to the late Herbert Harper and Anundus Nichols Harper.

In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Johnson, and son John Johnson.

Peggy was a homemaker. She loved to garden, cook, and sing. Her home church was open-door apostolic which she loved to attend.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jerry Johnson of Charleston, Jay (Donna) Johnson of Charleston, Lisa Booker of Charleston, David of Marmet, and Scott Johnson of Dunbar; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings Charlotte (John) Williams of Charleston, Donna Wiersteiner of Charleston, Mary Jo Hunt of Connecticut, Walter Harper of Dunbar, nieces, nephews, and all whom she loved dearly.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston with Pastor Chris Sowards officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery Park, Charleston.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at Noon at the funeral home on Thursday.
