Pearl F. Walker, 70, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord February 3, 2012 after a long illness. Pearl was educated in Charleston, and employed by Union Carbide for 28 years. She started as an entry level clerk and later became the Manager of the Graphic Art and Printing Department. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church. Pearl volunteered at Elk Community Center where she established a monthly newsletter and was instrumental in obtaining funds for her organization. She was a Loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Surviving her are her husband of 50 years, Marion Walker; daughter, Debra Sullivan of Charleston and Sara Walker of Sissonville; brother, Jimmy Nunley and wife Edith of Livonia Michigan; brother, Ralph Nunley and wife Delores of Pinch; granddaughter, Madison Ray and husband Staff Sgt. Richard stationed at Dover Delaware; and two great grandchildren, Brooke Pearl Ray and Owen Ray, both of Dover, Delaware. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday February 7, 2012 at Maranatha Baptist Church with Pastor Kevan Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston.
