Pauline Haynes Shamblin, 85, of Romance, passed away Wednesday January 3, 2018.
Pauline was born July 29, 1921, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lona Haynes. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Clarence Shamblin, brothers Harless "Doc" and Tommy Jr. Haynes, and sister Alkie Slater.
She is survived by her son, the pride and joy of her life, Mark A. Shamblin and wife Debbie; and her three granddaughters, Candice Arthur and husband Chris, Raina Shamblin, and Markee Sue Shamblin; as well as her great grandchildren Carragan and Canaan Arthur, and Walker Shamblin. She is also survived by her brother Richard Haynes and wife Sandra, and to a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Pauline was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, and in her early years worked as a Medical Assistant. Together, she and her husband owned several successful businesses, of which she was Secretary and Treasurer, best known for, Shamblin Stone, Inc.
She enjoyed cooking homemade meals for her family and was a member of the Allens Fork Stitching Sisters. Some of her most fond memories were traveling with her husband to their condo in Ormond Beach, Florida to spend time with friends. Pauline was known for her talent of hosting parties and entertaining.
Visitation and funeral service will be conducted at Allens Fork Community Church. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM on Tuesday January 9, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, after visitation with Pastor Danny Beckner officiating. Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel at 11:00 AM Wednesday January 10. Everyone Welcome.
