Pauline Burdette Rucker, 84, of Charleston went Home to be with the Lord September 3, 2010 after a short illness. She was a Member of Maranatha Baptist Church and was a member of former church's where her husband Omar pastored. She was a Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. She was never for herself, but always living for others, and was co-laborer in her husband's Ministry. She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Clara Roberts Burdette; Brother, William Burdette, and Grandson Donnie R. Rucker, Jr. Surviving her is her husband of 65 years, Pastor Omar P. Rucker; Sons, Pastor Ronnie O. Rucker, and his wife Leaile of Jasper, Georgia; and Donnie R. Rucker and his wife Janette of Charleston; Sisters, Ruth R. Rucker of Elkview and Frankie Taylor of Spencer; Brother, Bobby R. Burdette and his wife Doris Taylor Burdette of Spencer. Grandchildren, Amy Martin and husband Bill of Jasper Georgia; Jonathan R. Rucker and wife Amber of Elkview. Great Grandchildren, Zoe Rucker, Zach Bjork, Ben and Sam Martin all of Jasper Georgia; Emma and Kenzie Rucker both of Elkview. The family wishes to express appreciation to Delores Day for her companionship. Rucker, Pastor Benny Bess, and Pastor Kevan Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Rucker Family Cemetery, Elkview. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Saturday September 4, 2010 and also 1 hour prior to services, also at Maranatha Baptist.
