Patricia "Patty" Doriane Cummings, 64, of South Charleston, WV, passed away on May 9, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice Care after a long illness. Patty was born on March 17, 1961, in Kanawha County and was the daughter of late mother Violet Cummings and dad Roy Cummings of Charleston.

Patty was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. She was a loving sister and loving aunt to many nephews and nieces, and she enjoyed many things in life. Her passions were riding horses, riding in horse shows, and helping others in need. She enjoyed family and visiting with her friends. She talked a lot about her lovely friends at church, Kenna Homes, and South Charleston Recreation Center.

In addition to her parents, Roy & Violet Cummings, she is preceded in death by her sister Vickie Cummings of Dunbar.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister Shelbie Pomeroy of South Carolina, brothers Roy Lee Cummings/Tamula (Tammy) Lacy of Kenna, and Gary Wayne Cummings (Christine Lynn) Cummings of Charleston, 12 nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be held from 5 – 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the funeral home with Pastor Rick Pursley officiating. Burials will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park.
