Patricia "Patty" Burdette, 73, of Charleston went home on August 18, 2011 to be with her husband Paul Burdette whom she lost on May 20, 2011. She was a homemaker, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Patty is survived by her children, Irene Slater and Helen Skeens both of Sissonville, Danny Burdette and his wife Debbie of St. Albans, Juanita Parsons and her husband Charlie of Charleston, Gene "Pork" Burdette of Ripley, and Auty Burdette and his wife Gina of Sissonville; brothers and sisters, Mary Harrison of Alcott, David Stone and Louise Hendricks both of Daytona, FL, Charles Stone of Conway, SC and Billy Stone of Canada; grandchildren, James "Will" Slater, Randy "Lee" and Mike Whittington, Danielle and Nathan Burdette, Mikey Parsons, and Tasha Matlock; great-grandchildren, Kayla Slater, Hunter, Logan and Lakenzi Whittington, Lexi Moss, Cassie and Miley Whittington, Bruce Mason and Alyvia, Kaylee and Kadi Matlock. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday August 21, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Boggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Shaffer-Burdette Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
