Omie C. Underwood Omie C. Underwood, 94, of Charleston, passed away peacefully at Angel Avenue Assisted Living, Hurricane. Omie attended Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Cooper's Creek for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. "Woody" Underwood; parents, Amos and Charity Ingram; sisters, Nettie Rhodes, Hattie Crowder and Martha Crowder; and brothers, Jesse and Kenna Ingram. Survivors include her sister, Lola Reese of Sissonville; niece with whom she resided, Sharon Waugh of Charleston; and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. The family would like to thank Pam Dolin and the staff at Angel Avenue for all the tender loving care provided to her during her stay. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with Rev. Art Morrison officiating.
