Ola Josephine "Jo" McMillion, 83, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord July 5, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy McMillion; parents Lud and Dora Tate; daughter, Donna McMillion; sons, Danny and Rodney McMillion; grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin, Joseph and Cathy; sisters, Lula Haynes, Marie Haynes and Ruby Taylor; and brothers, John, Robert and Daniel B. Tate. Survivors include her loving children, Leroy McMillion, Jr. and wife, Kimberly Ann, Ronnie McMillion and wife, Linda, Dale McMillion and companion, Stephanie, and Erica McMillion and companion, T.J. Haynes, all of Charleston; granddaughter, who she thought of as a daughter, Ashley Simmons and husband, Joe of Charleston; sisters, Mary Taylor and Ruth Cobb, both of Charleston; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday July 9, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Legg officiating. Burial will be in the McMillion-Edens Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to service time also at the funeral home.
