Ola Reese Boggess Ola Reese Boggess, 96, of Charleston, passed away July 16, 2011. Ola was preceded in death, by her husband, Kye Boggess; and children, Donald Boggess, Linda Beckner, Anna Mae Robinson, Roger Boggess, and Rose Lee Burdette. During World War II, she worked as Rosie The Riveter at the Ordinance Center in South Charleston. She also worked as a cook at Orchard Manor Child Development Center. Ola was a Baptist, and was loved dearly by family and friends. Surviving are; her grandson and caregiver, J.D. Beckner and wife, Melissa; grandsons, Tom Chabot and Eddie Burdette; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston. Her wishes were to be cremated, and her remains buried at Rock Springs Cemetery, Kenna.
