Obituary

Norman "Frank" Duff 65 of St. Albans passed away April 20, 2014. Preceding him in death were his father, Henry H. Duff and his sister Vera Jordan. Frank served proudly in the United States Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was a Paratrooper and Infantry Platoon Sargent with the 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade "Rangers", during his combat service, Frank was decorated with the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Air Medal, Parachute Badge and Combat Infantry Badge. He was promoted to the rank of Staff Sargent with only two years of active duty services and was then honorably discharged after the war. Frank was employed by the Charleston Newspapers and he also worked as a rigger at the Charleston Civic Center. The last twenty years of Frank's employment he was a District Manager representing several major insurance companies. He and his teams offered employee benefits to school board employees and businesses across a number of States. Frank won numerous trips, company honors and awards for his outstanding sales leadership. Surviving him are his wife, Catherine Conley Duff; sons, Norman Christopher Duff; David Duff and John Thomas Duff and his wife Beth; Mother, Audrey Looney Duff; brother, Charles H. Duff, and wife Kim, and Seven Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Noon Thursday April 24, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor John Rutherford from The Faith Fellowship officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Thursday.
