Norma Jean Jenkins Withrow 78, of Charleston formerly of Dunbar, departed this world into the arms of Jesus on November 2, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Jinx" and Margaret "Sweets" Jenkins and her sister, Virginia Deane. Surviving her is her best friend and loving husband of 56 years, Harold, her daughter, Vickie J. Petry of Charleston, grandsons, Jeff Petry and wife Erin of Kenna and Kenny of Charleston, sister, Barbara Coleman of Dunbar. Her great grandchildren, Madison, Levi, Bekah, Rylan and Kendyll, along with several special nieces and nephews and a lifetime of special friends she embraced. She retired from Kroger's as the Traffic Manager at the Kanawha City Warehouse, after 46 years of service. She was a faithful member of the Charleston Mountain Mission Church where she held several offices including President of Circle Number Four for over 35 years. To our friends, family and church family, we thank you for your calls, cards, visits, emails, but most of all your prayers. Without you standing in the gap we could not have made it through this difficult time. God bless you each and every one. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Charleston Mountain Mission on November 6, 2012. Her going home celebration service will be at 11:00 AM with viewing one hour prior to the service on November 7, 2012 with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating and assisted by her grandson Rev.
