Norma Jean Joyce, 90, of Charleston passed away January 31, 2023 in CAMC Memorial Hospital.

Norma was born September 6, 1932 to the late Violet Nadine Freeman Sovine and Roy Warren Sovine. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Duncan; and a grandson, Paul "Bo" Franklin Duncan III.

Norma was a retired security guard with E.I. DuPont. She enjoyed painting, and especially enjoyed following the painter, Bob Ross.
Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Paul F. Duncan of Sissonville, Belinda Booker of St. Albans, and Sheila Duncan of Charleston; brother, Keith Sovine of Virginia; sisters, Susan Sovine of Utah, and Violet Bowman of North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.

Service will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, February 6, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington St., Charleston, WV 25302 with Reverend Scott Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at Noon on Monday at the funeral home.
