Noal Gene Wines 83, of Sissonville passed away early Monday morning at his home with his daughters after a long illness with heart disease. Noal spent most of his years in Parkersburg, WV raising his three children, and returned home to the Sissonville area after his retirement. Noal spent his career starting at the DuPont plant in Belle, WV. Then he joined the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. After he left the Marine Corp he went to work for Goodyear Atomic Gaseous Diffusion Plant in Portsmouth, Ohio. After the birth of his third child, he decided to move back to West Virginia where he continued his chemical work for first Marbon Chemical Plant, later know as Borg Warner Chemicals in Washington, WV, and in 1990 he retired from General Electric Chemical in Washington, WV. It was his goal in life to see that his children and grandchildren completed their college educations to be strong and independent kids. Noal was also an avid Cabinet and Clock maker when he wasn't trying to balance his oldest daughter's checkbook. He was also someone that believes if you started a project you finished it before starting something new. Noal was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Marlena Taylor Wines to whom he was married to for 56 years, his parents Lloyd and Lillian Wines, Brothers, Atlee, Collete, Jack, Harold (Bobbie) Wines and sister Dorothy Montgomery. Noal has left behind his son Noal Kem Wines and wife Penny Wines of Mineral Wells, WV; daughters, Joyce Theresa (Terri) Wines and Tamara Jane (Tami) Wines of Sissonville; granddaughter Georgann Elizabeth Mazzoli and husband Michael Mazzoli of Columbus, Ohio; grandson, Todd Christopher Wines and wife Jill of Parkersburg, WV. Also Great Grandsons, Vincent Michael Mazzoli, Roman Anthony Mazzoli, Silas Oliver Wines, and his yet to be named Great Grandson due in March. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather, and a proud United States Marine. Noal Gene will be greatly missed by his family, friends and for his wicked sense of humor. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 PM on Wednesday December 4, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. Private entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico immediately following the visitation with Military Honors conducted by The United States Marine Corps.
