Nellie Amy Perry Cavender Nellie Amy Perry Cavender, 87, of Charleston, went home to be with The Lord, November 9, 2010. Four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. She was retired from C&P Telephone Company after 40 years of service, and attended the Charleston Mountain Mission Church. Surviving are; her husband, of 64 years, Manford Cavender; son, Steven Cavender of Charleston; granddaughter, Chelsea Grimm and husband, Jon of Columbus, Ohio; great grandchildren, Jackson & Levi Grimm. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Fairley McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Perry Cemetery, Elkview. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday November 10, at the funeral home. The family suggest memorials in her name to Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Boulevard, W., Charleston, WV 25312.
