Nellie F. Carney 76, of Nitro passed away Thursday December 29, at CAMC Memorial Division surrounded by her family after a brief illness that began on Christmas Day morning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Emma Quigley; brother, James Quigley and daughter-in-law, Kathy Hancock.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years Clay Carney; children Don Hancock; Earl Fore and wife Mary; Patricia Carney and husband George. Grandchildren Amber Hancock, boyfriend Vince Chenos; James Fore and wife Genisia; Kris Fritz and husband Doug; Charles Carney and wife Kirstie and Dawn Price and several great grandchildren.
There will be no visitation or services.
Burial will be in The Donel C. Kinnard State Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
