Natalie Vida Groves, 50, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord January 29, 2010, after a short illness. She attended West Virginia University and graduated from West Virginia State University. Natalie attended Hissom Tabernacle Church of The Nazarene where she served as Missionary president, Sunday School Teacher, Singer, Prayer Warrior, Bible Scholar, and Youth Camp Counselor. Surviving are; her husband, David A. Groves; parents, Rev. Mozelle and Thelma Dudley Scruggs of Columbus, Ohio; brother, Morris Scruggs and wife, Muriel of Westerville, Ohio; sisters Lelia Vernon and husband, Ronald of Richmond, Virginia; Odessa and husband, Rev. Gregory Nance of Mitchellville, Maryland and Priscilla Scruggs of Alexandria, Virginia; special nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, February 5, at Hissom Tabernacle Church of The Nazarene, with Pastor Bonnie Hissom officiating. Burial will be in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville.
