Naomi Fay Meninger, 88 of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Born August 30, 1936, to Leonard Brown and Lenora Elmore in Putney, WV, Naomi lived a life of quiet strength, love, and devotion.

She married Virgil Lee Meninger and was blessed with four sons. Naomi faced life's trials with grace and resilience, enduring the loss of her beloved husband and two sons, Terry Meninger and Darrell Meninger, as well as her twin sister, Leona Smith, and younger sister, Joyce Fowler.

After retiring from her career with the State of West Virginia, Naomi remained an active part of her community. She was a faithful member of the Church of God on Chandler Drive and was known for her love of animals, especially her cherished pets. Naomi found joy in the simple things- spending time with family and friends, gardening, and caring for others.

She is survived by her two sons and significant others: Larry and Judy Meninger, and Robert Meninger and Christine Kannon. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brian Meninger and Kandace Meninger; and three beloved individuals who were like grandchildren to her: Ashley Fore, Jennifer Baldwin, and Matthew Kannon his wife Jalynn and their children Lakyn and Tatum. Naomi was also blessed with three great-grandchildren-Madden Baskin, Jacob Meninger, and Eli Meninger-as well as her brother Claude Brown and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Elmore Cemetery in Elkview.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00p.m. before the service.
