Nancy Ann (Milam) Lamoreaux, 80, of Charleston, WV, passed away on June 23, 2024, at home after a long battle against cancer with her daughters by her side.

Nancy was a native of Charleston, Nancy's roots run generations. After leaving WV in 1962 she moved to S. Florida where she began raising her five daughters. After Nancy's 9-year marriage to Robert Lee Cassady ended in 1970, she began to raise her girls on her own. In 1975, while working near Homestead AFB, she met and married the love of her life Michael Jon Lamoreaux.

Nancy and Mike moved to AZ with the USAF where they lived for a couple of years before landing in Anchorage, AK at Elmendorf AFB. They gave 23 years to the Air Force. They spent 34 years in Anchorage total. Nancy spent over 20 years with the Municipality of Anchorage, while Mike entered the US Marshals, where he retired, yet again.

Nancy, having supported her husband and his AF Marshal careers, it was time for her to retire. Running back to her beloved West Virginia where she will be laid to rest for eternity.

Nancy Ann is preceded in death by her father Robert Lee Milam, mother Martha Evelyn Burns, sister Deborah Milam, the father of her daughters Robert Lee Cassady and Michael Jon Lamoreaux.

Nancy is survived by her 5 daughters, Patricia Cassady of Fort Myers, Florida, Suzanne (Gene) Holdenried of St. Louis, MO, Robin Cassady of Spring Hill, Florida, Nancy Roabe of Pittsburgh, PA and Sherri Cassady of Cape Coral, Florida, sister Quana Matthews, 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 niece, and 1 nephew.

Services and Entombment ceremony will be announced at a later date, so family & friends have the opportunity of travel.

Nancy will be laid to rest with the love of her life. Together for eternity.
