Mildred V. Baldwin, 90, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on March 20, 2015 at her home. Mildred was a Homemaker, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She was a member of Teays Valley Baptist Church, was a member of Kanawha Rock and Gem Club and the Monday Painters Club. "Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death." (John 8:51) Many thoughts and memories pour through us, as we reach this moment in our lives. Our Mom was the best at so many things. She was an example of how to live life to its fullest. She graduated from High School in 2002 at the age of 77 and loved to travel and read. She was a precious gift to this world. She filled many roles and her love was abundant and unconditional. Mom had a huge heart and she freely gave to others. What an example she has always been to us. She had eternity in her heart. We live with promise and assurance that we will see her beautiful smile, her sparkling eyes and hear her wonderful laugh again. We want to give special thanks to Dr. Bradley Henry and each one of the staff, for all their tender care and concern through the years. They had been so gracious to our family. Preceding her in death was her parents John H. and Martha Elizabeth Carnes Cummings; loving husband Aubrey H. "Bob" Baldwin and her siblings, Mamie Reynolds, Mary Lemaster, Emma Rhodes Chase, Helen Thaxton, James Cummings, Norma Redmerski, Golden Cummings, Wanda Wehrle and George F. Cummings. Survivors include her son, Edward R. Baldwin and wife Sue of Big Chimney; daughter, Judith C. Boyd and husband David of Yorktown VA and Sandra L. Vandergrift of Charleston; brothers, Charles Edward Cummings and wife Gwen of Bowling Green, KY and Rev. Donald R. Cummings and wife Nancy of Port St. Lucie, Florida; sister, Linda Sue Stamper of Portsmouth, Ohio. Grandchildren include, LeAnn C. Skeens, Diana Miller, Heather Stanley, Craig Baldwin and Kimberly Parsons and Seven Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 23, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Dan Alderman and Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 PM Sunday also at the Funeral Home.
