On March 18, 1971, David (Linda) and Margie Miller were blessed when Melody was born and were saddened on February 14, 2015 when her life unexpectedly ended. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be sadly missed by all who know and loved her. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bill and Dorma Tanner and Margaret Finney; and aunts, Debbie Tanner and Debbie Cecil. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her children, Makala, Kelsie, McKenna, Willie and J.C.; grandchildren, Mariah, Kaden and Dallas; brothers, Davy (Julie) Miller and Robbie Tanner; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She also had a long, close friendship with Tracey Whittington and Kenita Landers who were like sisters to her. Melody was known and loved for her caring and sometimes bold ways. Those that were closest to her knew her not as Melody but as "Diddy". May peace be with you "Diddy" as your family and friends love and miss you. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, February 23, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow at Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation will be from 5- 7 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
