McKinley "Tootsie" Thaxton, 81 of Charleston, WV passed away October 29, 2021 at his home after an extended illness. He was born August 7, 1940 in Charleston to the late Everett Thaxton and Lena Holmes Thaxton. Also, preceded in death by his son Chris Thaxton. He was a loving family man, a retired Dental Lab Technician with Tincher Dental after 54 years of service, member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, loved hunting and anything outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Juanita Thaxton; daughter Anna (Rick) McClanahan; son Doug (Farrah); sister Thelma Carpenter; grandchildren Robbie, Jeremy, Gregory, Hunter, Rachel, Kristen; and several great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 2nd, 2PM at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico with Pastor Randy Campbell officiating.
