Obituary
Mazie Groves, 79, of Charleston passed away Saturday February 9, 2019, surrounded by her children.
She was born July 23, 1939 in Kettle, West Virginia. Mazie was a gifted Country Gospel Singer, Retired from McJunkin Corporation after many years of service and was a Godly Mother who never compromised her principles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Streeter and Goldie Fields; husband, Rex Groves; brother, James Fields; sisters, Virginia, Mabel, Orpha, Birdie and her infant son, Hansford.
Survivors include her children, Rex Groves and wife Barbara, Wilma Groves and David Groves, Timothy Groves, wife Teresa and Eric Groves; sisters, Carolyn Stancik and husband John, Helen Jones; brother, Robert Hoskins, and seven grandchildren.
It was her wishes to be cremated. Memorial Services will be Saturday February 16, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jerry Bonnett officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to services.
