Mary Monilee Taylor of Hurricane, formerly of Charleston, who walked "One day at a time" for 92 years, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2023 at the Hubbard Hospice House.

Mary was a wonderful Mother and Grandmother to her family.  All who entered her doorway were greeted with lots and lots of Love and hugs.  She was a member of Southridge Freewill Baptist Church in Charleston where she was affectionately known as "Little Mary".
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor; daughter, Janice Dale; son, Gary Parsons; parents, Hobert and Mayme Wines; grandmother, Martha Wines, who raised her; sisters, Francis Wickline, Louise Taylor, Maxine Taylor, and Reva Clark; brothers, Garrett, Dayton, Arlage and Harold Wines.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Anna Akers of Cross Lanes, Brenda Smith (Darest) of Hurricane, Joyce Thompson (John) of Circleville; son, Shea Parsons of Columbus; 13 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Dottie and Dareen Wines; and many loving nieces and nephews.

We are saddened but comforted to know that "It is well with her Soul" by his "Amazing Grace".

The family would like to thank all her great Doctors, especially Greg Porter and Dr. Keith who treated her for many years.

Service will be 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 10, 2023 at the South Ridge Freewill Baptist Church, 814 Ruthdale Rd, Charleston with Pastor David Cooper officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at Noon on Monday at the Church.
