Mary Lou Holmes, 80, of Charleston, passed away August 13, 2016 at Charleston Gardens. She was preceded in death by parents, Bill and Gladys Haynes; daughter, Terri Holmes; husband, Paul B. Holmes. Mary Lou, taught computer programming at Carver Career Center, and retired as computer programmer from NCR, where she worked with local grocery stores. Surviving are; daughter, Vicki Lynn Edens and companion Jim Loar of Charleston; son, Jackie Dale Coon and companion Robin Stewart of Kenna; grandchildren, J.P. Edens and wife Jamie of Martinsburg, Jeremiah Coon of New York, and Jaclyn Hartley and husband Charlie of Ft. Myers, FL; great-grandchildren, Allivia and Ally Hopwood of Martinsburg, Taetum Hunter, Cheyenne and Brigitte Coon of New York, and Brady, Hailey and Max Hartley of Ft. Myers, FL. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 19 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 18, at the funeral home.
