Mary Ann Burgess, 69, of Dunbar went home to be with the Lord March 7, 2011 surrounded by her family. She was retired from Sears & Roebuck Company with 39 years of service, a member of the Women's Club of Dunbar, and the Charleston Mountain Mission Church. Mary Ann was an avid West Virginia Mountaineer Fan, and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Surviving are; her husband of 47 years, Carl R. Burgess; sons, Darren Burgess and his wife Karen of Charleston; Steven Burgess and his wife Sarah of Glen Allen, Virginia.; her loving grandchildren, Daniel, Patrick, Matthew, Evan and Ellie Burgess, and her Dog, Mollie; brother, Mickey LeRoy and his wife Shirley of Alum Creek; sister, Barbara Bennett of Cross Lanes. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Charleston Mountain Mission Church with the Rev. Fairley McCormick, and her Brother-in-law, Jim Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the Church.
