Martha Rogers Vaughan, 94, formerly of St. Albans, passed away peacefully at home on the evening of Sunday, July 19, 2026.

Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eddie Vaughan; her beloved grandparents, Clyde and Anna White; her parents, Ray and Evelyn Rogers; her brother, Bill Rogers; and her cherished grandson, Vaughan Suppa.

She leaves behind a family who will forever treasure her memory, including her loving daughter, Sherry Suppa; her grandson, Chris Suppa; and her nieces and nephews, George Cunningham III, Mary Beth Cunningham, Marcia Ann Cunningham, Mike Phillips, and Scott Phillips.

Martha will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her quiet strength, and the love she shared so freely with those around her. Her greatest joy was caring for others, and she found happiness in making sure no one went hungry—a simple but profound expression of the compassion that defined her life.

A memorial service celebrating Martha's life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Boulevard East, Charleston. Family and friends are invited to remain for a reception immediately following the service, where they can gather to share memories and celebrate a life so well lived.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Trinity's Table, the church's feeding ministry. Supporting this ministry is a beautiful way to honor Martha's legacy because, as those who knew her best will tell you, Martha wanted everyone to be fed. Contributions may be made in person or mailed directly to the church.
