Marlene Cooper, 89, of Miami, WV, left her pain-filled body on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, to go dance with the angels. She was born on August 9, 1935, to the late Andy and Myrtle Farley.

Marlene worked for Buzz Products in Charleston for many years. She loved to make Christmas candy and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Marlene is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John Edward Cooper

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Barbara Saltsgaver (Ross) of East Bank, sons John Cooper (Angie) of Milton, and Terry Cooper (Sandy) of Cabin Creek, grandchildren Scott Saltsgaver (Theresa) of Apex, NC, Chris Saltsgaver of Raeford, NC, Philip Saltsgaver (Corrie) of Charleston, Tara Dolin (Michael) of Sharon, and Nathan Cooper (Kaylee) of Giles, and many great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
