Marlena "Sis" Haynes, 69, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord October 1, 2010 after a long battle of COPD. She was a Member of Walker Chapel Church, a Retired Cook from Kanawha County School Board, and was formerly employed by Carbide Tech Center Cafeteria. She was a Loving Mother, Grandmother, and never met a Stranger. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Jess and Dorothy Goins; Husband, Wesley "Butch" Haynes and her Brother, Harold Goins. Surviving her are children, Wesley "Corkey" Haynes, Jr. and his Companion Tonya Starcher of Charleston; Kimberly Good and her husband Marvin of Sissonville; Dana J. Haynes and his wife Kim of St. Albans, and Kelley Buckalew and her husband Robert of Charleston; Sister, Carolyn Walker of Charleston; Sister-in-law, Nena Jarrett and her husband Mark of Charleston; Brother-in-law, Eddie Haynes and his wife Sandy. Grandchildren, Jason A. Jones, Jessica A. Jones, Rachael "Nikki" Haynes, Sean Haynes, Travis Haynes, Marshall Buckalew and Taylor Haynes. Great Grandchildren, Chase Wesley Jones, Tyler Haynes, Shyanna Utterback, Logan Utterback and Marley Haynes. Her very Special Friend of 52 years Bodie Haynes, and very good friend Marcie Huckaby, and Daughter-in-law Stephanie Haynes. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday October 4, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Stanley Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Young Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 8 PM Sunday at the Funeral Home.
