Marie Elizabeth "Liz" Roop, 61, of Charleston passed away April 25, 2023 in CAMC Memorial Division after a long illness.

Liz was born December 9, 1961 in Charleston to the late Perry Larch and Helen Jarvis Larch. In addition to her parents, Liz was preceded in death by her daughter, Josephine Roop; and a grand-daughter, Maddie.

Liz worked at Sweetbriar Nursing Home, Dunbar for many years.

Left to cherish her memory are loving son, Nathan Roop (Amanda); sister, Sherry France; grand-sons, Nathan Roop Jr., and Caleb Roop; grand-daughter, Brooklyn Roop; fiance, Mike Young; and step-son, Noah Dean.

Service will be 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington St., Charleston with Rev. John Hayes officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 5:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
