Madeline Alice Baker Harrison, 99, of Charleston passed away May 25, 2014 after a brief illness. Madeline's hobbies were reading, sewing and cooking. She also loved to tell stories. Preceding her in death were her husband, Vetis Harrison; son, William O. Harrison; parents, William and Bess Baker; brothers, Thurston, Murkland and Charles Baker; and sisters, Bernice Plantz and Geraldine Kiser Pierson. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara H. Negley and husband Ken of Nitro; daughter-in-law, Cathy Harrison-Trefz and husband Ted of Weston; grandchildren, Beth Kirk and husband Kevin of Cross Lanes; Sean Harrison and wife Shonna of Nashville, TN; Christopher Negley and wife Angela of Cross Lanes and Josh Harrison of South Charleston; great grandchildren, Tyler Kirk, Josh H. Harrison, Kourtney Kirk, Nicholas Negley, Rhiannon Negley and Tori Harrison; and nieces, Judy Guillemette and Sonia Lance. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday May 29, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Father John Valentine officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday May 28, from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
