Mabel Ellen Ray Burdette, 93, of Charleston, WV passed away August 4, 2025 at Hubbard Hospice House.

She was born January 23,1932 to the late Mose and Deltie Ray.

Mabel was a member of Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents Mabel is preceded in death by her loving husband Ezra Burdette; son Clyde Hayes; brother Billy Ray, step grandson Austin Bowyer and son in law Doug Martin.

Left to cherish her memory is her son Ezra "Ronnie" Burdette (Belinda) of Charleston; daughter Sheila L. Martin of Painsville, OH; brothers Kenneth and Foster Ray; sisters Eunice Hennen and Illene Shamblin; step grandchildren Brandon Bowyer and Alicia Stewart (Clifton) and great grandchildren Aiden Bowyer-Wojciehowicz, Nathaniel Stewart and Adrianna Stewart and her four-legged companion Missy the Cat.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to family friend BJ McCallister.

A service honoring Mabel's life will be 1:00PM Thursday August 7th at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home with Chaplain Ray Witmer III officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
