Lola I. Reese, 95, of Sissonville passed away while resting peacefully at Angel Avenue Assisted Living, Hurricane. Lola was preceded in death by her husband, Harley W. Reese; parents, Amos and Charity Ingram; sisters, Nettie Rhodes, Hattie Crowder, Martha Crowder and Omie Underwood; brothers, Jesse and Kenny Ingram. She is survived by her daughters, Frances Griffith and Wanda Shank and husband William both of Charleston; three grandsons, Jon Griffith and wife Heidi of Bridgeport, WV, David Griffith and wife Becky of Charleston and Joe Griffith and wife Tracey of Seffner, Florida; six great- grandchildren, Ben, Zach, Nathan, Jacob, Marinda and Olivia and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Lola worked for Steiger Furs of Charleston as an expert seamstress for almost 30 years. After retiring, she hung a shingle and worked from home sewing for many family and friends. She also enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, cooking and visiting with her great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Pam Dolan and the Staff at Angel Avenue, especially Lisa, for making the last year of her life very comfortable and peaceful. The family would also like to thank Hospice Care, especially Sarah Lane, for taking the time and providing the care to ensure she passed into her next life comfortably and with dignity. A brief graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday September 11, at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with the Rev. Ron Stoner officiating.
