Obituary

Lloyd Frederick Haynes, 85, of Charleston departed this life July 25th, 2011, at home with loving family close to him after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Nannie (Whittington) Haynes, deceased brothers, Theodore, Howard, and Ladd; sisters, Lora Holmes, and Bessie Burdette. Lloyd is survived by his devoted wife of 39 years, Linda (Carpenter) Haynes; his daughter, Amanda Paige Painter, and husband Jason; step sons, Scott D. Haynes and Eric C. Haynes, and his wife Tonya; grandchildren, Cash Colton Painter, Anthony Sean, Alyssa Dawn, and Sierra Donae Haynes; and one great-grandchild, Ryland Scott Haynes. He is also survived by his sister Beatrice McCormick of South Daytona Beach Florida and several loving nieces and nephews. Lloyd was the owner of Lloyd F. Haynes Coal Company and several other successful ventures during his lifetime, always along with his wife Linda by his side. Lloyd was a bit of an entrepreneur and always tried to keep some project going to employ friends that needed work. Lloyd said his only regret was not pursuing a proper education, as that was something that could never be taken away. Lloyd was known for his incredible positive attitude and willingness to help others. When he walked into a room the whole mood of the room somehow brightened. Lloyd had a way with words and was always able to relate some story in his past to the issue at hand. He will be fondly remembered and missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am, July28th, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home in Charleston with Deacon David Abbott will officiating. Burial will follow at the Bailey-Carpenter cemetery, Clearview Heights, Sissonville WV. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. The family gives special thanks to the staff of Hospice Care for the exceptional care given and the love shown to their father. The family will accept memorial online condolences at www.cpjfuneralhome.com. Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home is serving the Haynes family. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the Lord. Amen!
