Linda Evelyn Utt, 76, of Charleston went home to the Lord on Saturday, December 7, 2024.

Linda was a 1966 graduate of Sissonville High School, and a lifelong resident of Charleston.  She went on to graduate from Charleston School of Beauty Culture and was a beautician in a few salons in the Sissonville area for 30 years before she retired.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Bradford and Mary Alice Bailey of Charleston.

Survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Ira Utt; daughters, Deanna Hunley, and Kristy Utt both of Charleston; granddaughter, and adopted daughter, Breanna Utt (Michael) of Charleston; brother, Garry Bailey of Charleston; granddaughter, and adopted daughter, Shelby Elliot (Collin) of Hurricane; grandson, Jevon Lawson of Charleston; granddaughters, Olivia Hunley (Jacob) of St. Albans, and Emmy Hunley of Charleston; great-grandson, Kason Hicks of Charleston; and special cousin who was like a sister, Janice Black of Charleston; along with many extended family and friends.

Those that knew Linda knew how kind and generous she was.  She would give anyone her last dime if they needed it.  She had a special place in her heart for the misfits, outsiders, outcasts, and anyone going through a rough patch.  Her doors were always open and welcoming.  She always had something to eat or drink for everyone that walked through them.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Tyler Mountain Gardens, Cross Lanes.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
