Linda Marie Burdette, born July 7, 1943, passed away quietly on October 1, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 36 years, Harold Cobb; brothers, Jerald Withrow and James Withrow; and sister, Pat Ranson. Survivors include her loving daughter, Barbara Vanoy and husband, John of Charleston; grandchildren, Tanya Farmer and husband, Justin of Georgia, Mark Vanoy and companion, Serena of Gassaway, Luke Vanoy and wife, Lindsay of Charleston, and Katie Bowles, whom mom loved as a granddaughter; great-grandchildren, John, Leighann, Dru, Kolton, Lela, and Kendra; sisters, Mary Arthur and Waveline Risk; and brother, Harold Withrow and wife, Teresa. In keeping with Linda's wishes, there will be no immediate services. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date to celebrate Linda's life. She loved picnics!
