Kathy Harper walked into the Kingdom of Heaven smiling on September 8, 2015 and is now in the arms of the Father. She was born on June 9, 1958 in South Charleston. The daughter of the late Jewett and Dorothy Facemyre. Kathy was also preceded in death by sisters Ruth and Carol. She was married to her childhood sweetheart and love of her life James Harper, Jr., for 39 years. They had three daughters and four grandchildren that were her world. A true and loyal friend with a smile on her face and laughter in her heart. She had an amazing spirit and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Those life to cherish her memory include her husband James Harper, Jr. and her three daughters, Theresa and son in law Paul Harrison of Dunbar, Cathy Jo Harper and J.R. Dawson of Cross Lanes and Jennifer Harper and Brian Landers of Sissonville; her three grandsons whom she dearly loved, Samuel, Adam, Elijah and her granddaughter Melanie. Her brothers James and Jake and sisters , Patty, Helen and Jewel, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you and love to the special friends that have become family of Moran Avenue, Cathy and Gail Harper and Bobbie and CL Roberts. She loved you all dearly and so do we. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 12, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Arnold Shaffer officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Saturday.
