Lillian (Burford) Ferrell
The Angels escorted Lillian to Heaven June 1, 2018, in Port Orange, Florida, at the age of 99. She was born October 16, 1918 and raised in West Virginia.
Traveling was something she especially enjoyed. She was most proud of her status as a West Virginian and devoted to her Burford and Boggess heritage.
Lillian was predeceased by, two infant sons, one great-great-grandson, her father, Ollie Herndon Burford and her mother, Lela (Boggess) Burford; four sisters: Ernestine Burford, Minnie Petry, Christina Fields, Nettie Hopkins. Five brothers: Wade, Clifton, Alfred, Dorsey and Ollie Herndon, Jr.
She was the eldest of the surviving Burford family; one brother, Delano Burford and his wife, Roxie of Sissonville, two sisters, Roberta Guthrie of Kanawha Two Mile and Gwendolyn Good of Sissonville; Many nieces, nephews and their families and friends share in the loss of Lillian. She is also survived by her three daughters, sons-in-law and their families: Patty King (George), Charlotte Booth (John) and Pansy Jones (Jerry). 6 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
The family extends their gratitude to everyone that provided their support and care to Lillian.
Flowers or a donation made to Hospice in respect to Lillian Ferrell is welcome.
Funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday June 6, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor David McCormick officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM, Tuesday, June 5, at the funeral home.
