Lena Elizabeth Wallace Wehrle, 91, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord September 20, 2010. She was a Homemaker and attended Parsons Chapel Advent Church, and the Charleston Mountain Mission, Charleston. She was preceded in death by her husband Norman J. Wehrle, Sr.; son, Harry D. Wehrle, brothers, Harry Wallace, Jr., Leonard Wallace and Lacy Wallace Wallace; sisters, Margaret Edwards, Virginia Tucker, Minnie Michaels, and Lena's twin sister, Lara Sumner, and her grandsons, Zachary Summers and Russell Ray Wehrle. Surviving her are sons, Norman J. Wehrle, Jr., and his wife Laura of Bealston, VA, and Richard R. Wehrle of Charleston; daughters, Donna J. Burdette and her husband Rick of Sissonville, and Kay F. Zozula and her husband Mike of Warminster, PA; and sister, Betty Farmer of Point Pleasant. Sixteen (16) Grandchildren, Twenty Eight (28) Great Grandchildren and Eight (8) Great Great Grandchildren. The family would like to express a special thanks to the Nursing Staff at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home and Barbara Patterson for the special care given to Lena. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday September 23, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Fairley McCormick and the Rev. Richard C. Wehrle officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
