Lena J. Burdette 83 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2013. She was a loving person with a sweet disposition, a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and had a beautiful alto voice, and sang in many church choirs. Preceding Lena in death were her parents, Jake and Gladys Baldwin and one sister, Virginia Burdette. Survivors include her husband of 61 years Otis Burdette; daughter, Cheryl Ann Finney and husband Ron of Sissonville. Grandchildren, Shane Thaxton, Dustin Finney and wife Ashley. Great Grandchildren Gage Thaxton Noah Thaxton and Lily Finney. Also surviving are several Nieces and Nephews who are left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 17, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony George officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday April 16, 2013 from 6 to 8 PM.
