LaVada Price Vickers Lavada Price Vickers, 80, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, April 23, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House. She was reunited with the love of her life, "Vic" her husband, of 61 years. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ruth Martin Price; brother, Don Price; and sister, Edith Whitlock. LaVada was a 1952 graduate of Charleston High School, and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. She loved her church family. During her years of service she mentored at the Bob Burdette Center, taught Bible School, helped in the nursery, and many other activities. She will be greatly missed, but the family is grateful for the example of Christian Values, hard work and service. The legacy will be remembered and aspired to. She leaves, daughters, Kathy Hudson and husband, Paul, Melody Cochran and husband, David; son, David Vickers and wife, Kim; brother, Doug Price and wife, Carol; grandchildren, Brittany and Jeremy Fallecker, Chrissy Pickron, Debra Richard, Sarah Cochran, and Casey Hudson; 5 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ron Stoner officiating. Entombment will be in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, also at the church. A special Thank you to Hubbard Hospice House.
