Laura L. Louderback Booth, 95, of Charleston, WV, passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Meadowbrook Acers Nursing Center. Born October 5, 1929, at Landville, Logan County, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley Sr. and Hester Mitchell Louderback.
In addition to her parents, Laura is preceded in death by her loving husband of 66 years, Harry Booth Jr.; her only son, Roger Lee Booth Sr.; two sisters, Dorothy Mae Staten and Gloria Adkins Molnar; and two brothers, John Jr. and James Louderback.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters Sharon (Donald) Midkiff of Milton and Marsha (Jeffrey) Pennington of Charleston, daughter- in Law Linda Toler Booth, and four grandchildren, R. Lee Booth, Jr. of Bridgeport, Meredith (Jason) Williamson of Huntington, Courtney Booth-Cheek (Tate) of Asheville, NC, and Kelly M. Pennington of South Charleston, five great-grandchildren Brett A. Booth of Dallas, TX, Hayden E. Williamson of Huntington, Kathryn V. "Kit" Booth of Bridgeport, Blake D. Williamson of Huntington, and Laura Virginia Cheek of Asheville, NC.
Laura enjoyed reading, working puzzles, tole painting, sewing, and free-style painting with acrylics. And no one could beat her at Chinese Checkers or Dominoes.
Laura was a graduate of Man High School and Center College with a degree in business. She retired from the West Virginia Department of Health after 24 years of service.
She was Baptist by faith, having taught Sunday school, and enjoyed teaching Bible school each summer.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Meadowbrook Acers Nursing Care for their excellent care and kindness to our mother.
Funeral services will be held June 5, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. before the service at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Logan.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association 1248 Greenbrier Street Charleston, WV 25311.
