Heaven received an angel today. Larry Eugene Carter, 59 of Charleston passed away August 26, 2013 at Thomas Memorial Hospital. Larry was a U.S. Army Veteran, stationed in Korea; was a Construction Worker and a Talented Artist. He had a generous heart, was a Christian and Charleston History Buff. Preceding him in death were his sister, Joyce Carter and parents James and Carol Sue Carter. Survivors include Janice Buckley of Charleston; Connie Sue Craze of Belle; Darlene Nickleson and husband Mike of Charleston; James Carter and wife Jan of Parkersburg; Giles Lee Carter of Charleston and Joseph William Carter of Charleston and several Nieces and Nephews who are also left to mourn his passing. He will be sadly missed by his Family, Friends and all who knew him. Funeral Services will be 9:30 AM Thursday August 29, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Bernard Toppings officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Institute. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home.
