L. Keith Phillips L. Keith Phillips, 85, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord, August 12, at Cedar Ridge Center. Keith was born in Coalburg, WV, to the late William "Bill" and Goldie Kirk Phillips. He also was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Charles "Tubby" Phillips. He was a graduate of Sissonville High School, former owner of five service stations, worked for True Temper, Kanawha County Schools, and retired from West Virginia DOH. He was a Charter member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church at Pocatalico. Surviving are; his wife of 64 years, and caregiver, Elenore "Kitty" Phillips; daughters, Belinda Young Kinder and husband Mike of Hurricane, and Lynn Renee Goodwin and husband Mike of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Kevin Young, Angie McClanahan and husband Archie, Shanna Ruiz and husband Wes, Ashley Wright and husband Seth, Ciara Willingham and husband Aaron, Devin Young, Samatha Goodwin and Chelsea Strack and husband Jordan; great-grandchildren, Jaydan and Braylee McClanahan (the joy of his life), McKenna and Kaiden Young, Logan Aparico, Anthony Ruiz, Amira and Aneya Mahmoud, Taliah and Israel LaLone, Adian and Aries Strack and Lawson Wright. A special "thank you" to Cedar Ridge Center personnel, especially nurses, CNA's, therapist, and cooks for the wonderful care you provided. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 17, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Rev. Loretta Isaiah officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday August 16, at the funeral home, also one hour prior to service Wednesday at the funeral home.
