Obituary
Kermit A. Smith, 90, of Winfield went home to be with the Lord on February 11, 2019.
Kermit proudly served our country and was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired Truck Driver with Allegheny Freight Lines, a member of Teamsters Local #175 and enjoyed fishing and ginsenging.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Madeline; son-in-law, Pastor David Thaxton; grandson, David Scott Thaxton; Three brothers and Three Sisters.
Surviving are his children, Kermit E. Smith and wife Terry. Becky Thaxton, Randy Smith and wife Lynn and Mike Smith.
Six Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday February 14, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, February 13, also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Anderson Cemetery, McCorkle, WV.
