Kenneth R. "Kenny" Hughes 59 of Charleston passed away of injuries sustained from an auto accident on April 21, 2013. He was a man of strong faith. He loved playing darts. He was artistic and loved to create with his hands. Kenny was preceded in death by his father, Leonard R. Hughes. Survivors include his longtime companion, Melanie Slater of Charleston; sons, Lucas Hughes and Jolynn Colebaugh of Troy Ohio, Keaton Hughes of Morgantown, WV, James Ryan of Charleston, WV and Tyler Hughes of Fayetteville, WV; daughter, Sarah Giles and husband Brian of Cincinnati, Ohio; mother, Ruby Hughes of Charleston; brother, Roger Hughes of Hurricane; sister, Brenda Hughes of Kalamazoo, MI and 5 Grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and his longtime friend, Penny Pulliam. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 24, 2013 in the Cunningham Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, St. Albans with Pastor Neil Legg officiating. Entombment will follow after services. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
