Katheryn Lee Young Katheryn Lee Young, 69, of Charleston, passed away, February 23, 2012 at her daughter's residence, after a short illness. She attended Spring Fork Missionary Baptist Church, Campbells Creek, and was a former waitress at the Ramada Inn in South Charleston. Katheryn was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Russell Young; parents, Lester and Bertha Freshour; brother, Gene Freshour; sister, Maggie Tillis; and grandson, Jeffrey B. Slater, Jr.. Surviving are her, daughter, Sandy Lynn Burdette and her husband, James of St. Albans; brother, Larry Freshour of Orlando, Florida; sisters, Betty Smith of Huntington, and Maxine Reese originally of Charleston; step-granddaughter, Misty Dawn Bayless and husband, Darryl; step-great-grandchildren, Keith and Jerrad Holstein and McKenzie Bayless. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Lawrence Slater officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 11 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the funeral home.
