Obituary

Karen Sue Dunkle Karen Dunkle, 58, of Sissonville, passed away, January 29, 2011. She was a former Librarian with the State Library and the Kanawha County Library. She was very involved with her grandchildren and Lee's Studio of Dance. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin D. Burford, Sr. and Helen Mae Burford; granddaughter, Ja-Kara Howard; and brother, Franklin D. "Bubby" Burford, Jr. Surviving are her life-long companion, Raymond "Bunny" Toney, of Sissonville; daughters, Tara Dunkle of Kanawha City and Catherine Dunkle of Charleston; sisters, Debbie Atkins of York, South Carolina, Connie Beane of Sissonville, and Tina Burford of Ripley; grandchildren, Hannah Given, Isaiah Watson, Marquis Moore, Devin Viramethi, Tristin Howard, Ke-Yona Howard, Alex Viramethi, Keirstyn Viramethi, Ty-Jahe Howard; severl nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be loved and missed by everyone. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 4, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. Jack Toler, Sr. officiating. Entombment will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 3, at the funeral home.
