Judy McCormick 69 of Racine passed away March 16, 2015 at CAMC Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a longtime member of the Charleston Mountain Mission, where she was a volunteer on the Benevolent Committee and was involved with the Annual Christmas Basket Drive. Judy had an abundance of love, kindness, warmth and character... with a smidge of mischievousness that made her even more endearing to those who loved and knew her. She had an undying love and devotion to her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings and to all she loved so dear. Preceding her in death were her parents, Elmer and Delphia Reese; brothers, Wayne K. and Billy R. Reese, her granddaughter, Mariska E. Krokus and mother-in-law Sarah I. McCormick. Survivors include her devoted husband of 48 years, Claude W. McCormick; daughter, Michele McCormick and son Jason McCormick, both of Racine; sisters, Barbara Vannoy of Charleston and Penny McCormick and husband Curtis of Wytheville, VA; brother Elmer "Bo" Reese, Jr. of Charleston; grandchildren, Tyler, Chloe, Kirsten and Grant. Also surviving are several Nieces and Nephews who are left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday March 19, 2015 at Charleston Mountain Mission Church with the Rev. Adam Null officiating. Burial will follow in the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services also at the church.
