Juanita Helen Burdette Smith
Juanita Helen Burdette Smith, 96, of Sissonville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 17 2017.
She was born February 4, 1921, the daughter of the late Romie Burdette and Nell Burdette Foster. Also preceding her in death are; her husband, Donald G. Smith; son, Donald R. Smith; grandson, Tony R. Skeens; sister, Bernice Winter; brothers, Romie Burdette, Jr., Carl Foster and John Foster.
Juanita retired from Sears, Shoe Department, and was a member of Teays Valley Missionary Baptist Church, where her son Dr. John D. Smith is pastor.
Surviving are; daughter, Marlene Skeens and husband, Robert; sons, John D. Smith and wife Margurite, and G. Michael Smith; grandchildren, Mark Skeens, Debra Hughes and husband Phillip, Tara Marshall, Julie Sayre and husband Brian, James Smith and wife Brandee; great-grandchildren, Anthony Skeens, Andrea Norton, Miranda Skeens, Michael Hughes, Logan Mitchell, and Brooke Sayre; great-great-grandson, Cole Norton; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with her son, Pastor John D. Smith officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.
